Why do people confuse Rules Heavy, or "Hold Your Hand & Do all the work for you" stuff like Life Path mechanics as "Deep" RPGs?
I've been playing RPGs since 1981. Simple. Complex, Convoluted. Not once did a ruleset make a Deep Game experience.
Players & GMs & Good Stories do.
Am I the only one who always seem to bumble my way into the areas of optional bossfights at a way too early level in RPGs? The winning prompt on my sketch poll over on Patreon was 'demonic swordsman' so it came to mind as I was sketching. :') #sketch #digitalart
