how I imagine Jour Thames
- She have a cutie vibe especially in her mid teens.
- She occasionally put her hair up when she is about to destroy something or someone
- She only put her hair down whenever she is currently relaxing like playing with little Cale
- A dominant woman

Radical herbalist, Nicholas Culpeper believed medicine was a public asset rather than a commercial secret & "no man deserved to starve to pay an insulting, insolent physician". In his opinion, examining "as much piss as the Thames might hold" didn't help diagnosis #FaustianFriday

Today’s painting is of the River Orwell at the Orwell Bridge. A Thames barge in traditional colours is sailing on the river. The sails were dyed with ox-blood years ago. Painted in 2019 if my memory holds up 😀

@AmgueddfaCymru Thursday 5th May - 'Studio Window' (1935) by Laura Knight. This view of the Thames facing Battersea, was painted from Knight's temporary studio at 105 Cheyne Walk on the Chelsea Embankment. Earlier artists who lived at Cheyne Walk included JMW Turner and Dante Gabriele Rossetti.
A recent exciting and unexpected Thames find is this Tudor dress hook, which cd be used to hitch up your Tudor dress to keep it from trailing in the mud. As always I love to imagine who lost this & if she went home with a puddle soaked skirt hem #mudlarking #mudlark #tudorhistory
