Although during their dating phase, he was rather shy about it. Mixed feelings etc, She was more open expressing her emotions to him. Then eventually as their relationship progresses, he also is open to expressing his emotions to her (and is proud of it uwu)

Anyway if you're interested in manga that are definitely female-oriented with the sensibilities/expression that flourished in that demo, but that are cross-genre and therefore more accessible to men skeptical about stereotypical shoujo romance, I recommend some of these!
