Here's the foundation of how I think about light (and composition): everything can be broken down into 2-3 values and still be entirely clear and readable with an obvious focus. These first 3 took 2-4 minutes each and make for a great exercise!

So these are the pieces I am posting in these atm. My biggest learning from them has to be the importance in planning the whole please - cohesiveness, how everything fits together, from the very start. Spend time on the background even if it's not the focus. Make everything work.

Oberon not only has the ability to breathe fire, but given focus, he can magically manipulate his own fire.

It's very powerful but it's also very easy to disrupt his focus.
