Here's the foundation of how I think about light (and composition): everything can be broken down into 2-3 values and still be entirely clear and readable with an obvious focus. These first 3 took 2-4 minutes each and make for a great exercise!

As a child, Ryouken loved to gaze at the stars. He still does, but now, it's mainly a thing to help him soothe his mind when his thoughts are troubled and he needs to focus.
