A lot of people call Rodimus prime under qualified to become a leader so fast but I think these people forget Optimus wasn’t even a soldier before he became a leader he was just a dock worker. Hotrod was an actual soldier with field experience.

I see that Optimus Prime is trending. Let me share one of my favorite moments from Optimus and that is him confronting the maker of Unicron after he had destroyed Cybertron and trying to reason with him. He then gives him a hug which destroys the planet eater from within.

Optimus' origin in this universe is similar to his g1 counterpart, he didn't have any personal ties with Megatron. As Orion Pax he was an Elite Guard along with Elita-1. They were assigned to guard the great Sentinel Prime.
