AOSTH Robotnik is a big reason why I love the Sonic series so much.

Then OKKO came out and Boxman was pretty much the exact same character, which makes sense since Jim Cummings was also Robotnik in SATAM (which I didn't watch but still.)

i think the drastic design change wasn't until the genesis wave itself but they definitely fit better after flynn takes over
I assume part of it is because they were SATAM characters brought into the comic

fun fact though, the game was almost considered for a US release at one point with "localized" graphics as well. There's a near-complete spritesheet in the game's code that swaps out eggman with the robotnik design from the SatAM cartoon

Bunnie Rabbot is my fave sonic from SatAM and i needed something to stress draw so have some sketches. just updated the design from the show a bit. added some fashion and body horror. the usual. also she’s buff now because i do what i want.

I am a HUGE SatAM/Archie fan. Always will be. But I also sincerely love the IDW Sonic run, especially the Zombot arc. There's so much to love about these comics. So much heart goes into them. They made me excited for trips to the comic book store (back when that was a thing, lol)
