So fvckin fun to paint a skull. You can’t really do it “wrong”. Such interesting planes of bone and little cracks and dimples all over the place. I can see how you can really dive deep into the details once you have the base shapes.

since I have TFA on the brain, I'll start with my fave design from it. Blitzwing is just so cool here- the colors are a nicer, muted version of his og color scheme, and the SHAPES!!! TFA has so much fun with shapes. the three face gimmick is also wonderful :D

The gig i'm working on right now have me paint without blending, and that totally forces me out of the comfort zone. I have to be really conscious of my value groupings and of shapes. It's really cool.
