So is “Ki” a more accurate translation of “chi?” ‘Cuz I remember all media with vaguely Asian stereotype mysticism referencing “chi” a lot, but you don’t really see that anymore...
“There are so many fucking stereotypes about being bisexual that made me want to shy away from talking about it. I’m much more open to having those discussions now.” - Tinashe for GAY TIMES (2020). #Pride
Throwback to 2018.
I painted my #OC Eliah, the mad scientist. I'll draw him again soon so I can sign him up for #artfight2021 as well.

Something #BlueSub6 (specifically Range Murata) did EXCEPTIONALLY well is it managed to convey a very ethnically diverse cast in an anime style with thoughtful ethnic features without relying on lazy shorthand/stereotypes. They all look amazing and equally human, never "othered"
One of my favourite things about this book is how it dismantles nerd/jock stereotypes. Charlie plays basketball & is popular, but he's also a pushover with personal issues. Nate is a nerd, but he's a Type A nerd, willing to do anything to get what he wants.
howdy! my name is cai and I'm a two-spirit algonquin and métis artist. I mostly draw but I've started beading recently too!

Another important stereotype is the Indigenous sidekick (think “Lone Ranger” or “Brotherhood of the Wolf”). For this reason, it’s actually quite significant that Dani is the leader of The New Mutants. Her authority and competency in this role is virtually unquestioned. 7/9
We’ve talked before about Claremont’s tendency to fall into the “Magic Native American Trope” and Dani does indeed have some problematic stereotypes woven into her portrayal, especially in her first appearance. 2/9
It does a good job at presenting the opposite side of prehistoric stereotypes to a wider audience. Such as herbivorous dinosaurs not being so innocent pets anymore or instead of being background elements on the sky, Pterosaurs are represented as actually serious land predators.
