Hot take, POV is not a big deal to me. I also could argue implicit MC storytelling is more interesting than constantly being in their head all the time. There is a benefit to POV and non implicit POV style writing. And they're both excellent storytelling techniques.

Something about Keiko Nobumoto's work seriously spoke to me. At least 4 of her anime are easily in my top 10. She had a sharp talent for balancing joy & tragedy in hauntingly beautiful ways with her writing. This one hits hard, but at least she's not suffering anymore 😔 R.I.P.

Day 10: catching up with the newest volume of Chihayafuru (we're up to 29!). I love how real change happens in this story & the characters need to deal with it. That's some confident writing.
