I still wish Falcom would turn this into a spin off series. It could be so good. They could even use it to explore ideas that wouldn't have worked as well with the main cast in the main games due to needing to keep continuity.

They're certainly the most iconic and characteristic of the original trilogy. CE's has charm as an Aliens knock off but 3's retain some visual continuity with 2 while having more exadurated proportions and unique shapes.

My ideal would be a blend of 2 and 3's concepts

I don't care about the continuity of this silly show, I like the redesign of Patrick's parents.

They aren't just Patrick but dressed differently like the original. Their physique and color scheme help make them more distinguished from Patrick.

Honestly, nice designs imo.

This might be a hot take but I don't even mind that Patrick's parents have changed for The Patrick Star Show.

They were never staple characters, they appeared very briefly, SpongeBob has never been a continuity driven series, and frankly... the designs just look way more fun.
