I check the Totally spies wiki to see if they were ever used but the most it was is "There are also pads on the arms and legs".

And the level of realism. With androids or humanoid robots, you can add more/less detail depending on how much of their inner mechanisms are exposed. Hirofumi Ichikawa's "Transformers" art has the reputation for being toy accurate and having realistic mechanisms/joints.
