Alixx - an artfight attack for my friend ♡ 🌊🫧☁️🏝️🐚
lions are always interesting to draw, their structure is still very feline but it always seems so boxy - bean - boxy.. it’s just fascinating studying anatomy to me & breaking down those shapes

Been having fun doing quick warm-up sketches before long drawing sessions, plus really loving this current color/shading style for them
(Bonus also for those that ever wanted to see how big the Goat shape was compared to regular Skye)

-Squishy
- has large spherical shapes on it's head that people mistake it for eyes
- Inflatable belly for maximum electric discharge

Small, cute, muted colors, round secondary shape language

Maybe I'm on to something here with this sona vs. car thing... 🤔 https://t.co/njUFDpfdlK

I can't help but to notice Seth's earrings resembling the shape of the sha's ears. It's not a perfect one-for-one, but I like to think it's a subtle way to show his cute sha-ness in his maskless form.

Off the stick figure, you can add shapes to build up the body. Remember to reference anatomy (I made a mistake, I'll explain when I fix it) and then adjust it from there: learn the rules to break the rules.

what we can see of the head would end up a very strange shape, the neck being a triangle doesn't work with human anatomy either. You could break down to have a triangle at the bad of the neck, but the neck is more of a tube. The second part is pose. Your pose is too stiff & flat.

Okay, I finished breakfast and went into CSP... so! First off, form. We can break all drawings down into basic shapes and compare them to anatomy. Anime isn't a realistic style, but it does have basis in real anatomy. The head and neck are the biggest issues with this.

... and the rest of them! The variety in this batch was super fun to play around with. Chunking down more complicated characters into recognizable, personable shapes is always a real treat.

Fussing on a new design. Concept for this one is a changeling master smith. Most of their limbs don't hold their shape well, so they wear armor bracing.
