Here's my process on these artworks

For the 1st one:
1.) Sketch the body (poses and stuff)
2.) Draw temporary line art on the sketch
3.) Draw line art, color, shade, etc.

For the 2nd one:
Sometimes I sketch with color-coded parts, so it's easier for me to focus on to some parts

So found out something deeply fascinating to me about Red Mage spells.

They seem to be partially physical projectiles, aether condensed into a crystal then launched to explode upon the target.

Verthunder III seems to act more like temporary Sage nouliths however, interestingly.
