Happy Birthday

17 years after release, and I'm still amazed at the quality of the original game. From the gorgeous animation, to the awesome music, to the incredibly addictive game play, Shantae has maintained its status a personal favorite of mine.

June 2, 2002 was when Shantae released on the GameBoy Color. I didn't play it until 2015 on the 3DS, but I instantly loved the game, the series, and the characters.
Here is some of my favorite artwork I've made of Shantae for her 17th birthday today!

17 years ago. delivered the Original Indie Darling into our lives and GBC's. I would not jump into the series until Risky's Revenge. But, I remembered seeing the first game and always wanting it. Now, I own it on my 3DS! Thanks for always being magical,

Shantae- Besides being one of my more popular pieces, I loved doing the eyes, was quite tempted to do more with the hair, but figured simple worked best.
Sailor Neptune- Because she's so pretty and (again) I loved working on the hair :D

Here's the full piece, finished Shantae :3! I wanted to draw her again for so long, since I didn't liked the last fanart I made of her.
Hope you all like her ♥.
