Kentaro Miura, creator of the horror fantasy epic BERSERK, passed away on May 6th at the age of 54. The manga, still running after 32 years will presumably not get complete closure. I will prioritize an episode about this.

I've heard that Kentaro Miura just passed away,
the world just lost one of the greatest manga creator,
and by the same occasion one of my favorite artist aswell.

i have been so totally moved by berserk from the moment i was first exposed to it. miura’s work was some of the first art and writing i ever found myself in complete awe of. he was an absolute master of his craft and i’m very grateful for everything he gave us.

No había visto Berserk, pero solo con leer las reacciones de todos, puedo ver que Miura creo algo bastante especial, ya tenia pensado ver la adaptación del 97, así que lo comenzare cuando pueda, para comprender mejor la perdida que sufrieron varios.

Man a legend has left us. We would joke about him never finishing Berserk and now that shits a fucking reality. Thank you for writing one of the craziest iconic stories in manga. GUTS journey forward may have ended but what you’ve left us is something everyone should experience

A few years ago and I made a Chobo comic called Zerk's Purr that was partly a tribute to Berserk. It's difficult to read Berserk and not be inspired by it at some point, even when writing a story about a cat.

I started on a Berserk series just this year and eventhough it mightve been an impossible dream, I just wished maybe he would've been able to see some of the Berserk paintings I did. Unable to process this still
