I noticed a while back after creating Stella that she had a passing resemblance to my other OC Mage. That HAS changed a bit as her design has evolved but its still there a bit.

In the Sonic Lost World game it is never made clear exactly where Amy and Knuckles are, the tie-in comic suggests that they are in Green Hill; considering the shape of the trees, it would seem that area is the Green Hill(s) from Sonic 2 8-bit.
