these are pretty old but like the styles of the stockings themselves didn’t really change, although men started wearing breeches that tied/buttoned/buckled beneath the knee and either hid the garters or held up the stockings in place of them

Nah I can’t agree with you on this one. Poses iconic for characters, whether super popular or not, are going to appear across multiple games. It’s inevitable. And besides, it’s kinda cool to see the same poses in different styles.
