as Sergei Paradjanov creates fantastic images as he explores the religious, mythological, and occult customs of 19th cen. Ukrainians without running afoul of Soviet censors with SHADOWS OF FORGOTTEN ANCESTORS (1964).

I think this is the BEST thing I've done with the rhyme X) Russian original was written by Rya Brion:

Это повесть о городе, где оживают сны,
Расположенном где-то без времени и страны,
Где в полуденном небе капельки звезд видны -
К востоку от Солнца,
К западу от Луны.

I literally stumbled upon this show when someone else posted about it. It was even dubbed in Russian to my surprise!
This show reminds me how many pieces of media are falling into obscurity and there are certain things which even the Internet doesn't know much about.

Majere and 🤍🤍🤍
Musical version (it's Russian musical based on novels) ;)

Маджере и из 🤍🤍🤍

Так и вижу диалог между ними:
- Я открою врата в Бездну!
- Рейстлин, нет!
- Рейстлин, ДА!

Awesome artwork. Maybe having the Russian wrestlers Zangief and Biff Slamkovich from Capcom’s Saturday Night Slammasters have a battle against one another!

Chilly the snowmannn ☃️ The bucket head reminded me of those cossack hats, so I went with a russian-esque outfit. Still kinda iffy on the hairstyle, so I might end up changing that if I think of anything more fitting 🤔

Лихо or Likho in modern Russian means "bad luck" Likho is a demon created by Aurin to "serve" him (he barely listens). When Aurin is away Likho is the one to open the gates to the underworld or upper realm and let people in. The eyes on his body are mildly prophetic
