sounds like it ^^ its a general rule for eyeballing it, i am sure there are more accurate sizing methods. someone recently shared smtn i didnt know about; if ur 'arm flap' sticking out ur arm holes like the person in the white binder thats no good; aim for the folks in group pic

The idea was to combine methods of drawing hair with macro details with a backlight and OMG I FREAKING LOVE DOING IT😭👏🏽
Also it is pretty rushed 😂 I think it took about 7-8 hours this time✨

I do like seeing other peoples methods, hmm, so just in case its useful heres how I do it. I ahve a master layer thats just a Silloutte it controls all colour. then theres a flat colour layer. Then hard shadows, then soft shadows, then highlights, etc.
