See, I prefer art styles that are a fusion of realism and anime. Obviously, this is an anime character based on cutesy head and eye proportions, but her anatomy and shading are more realistic, demonstrating artistic knowledge and skill. Most western "pros" fail at all of those.

Also caught up to the Vanitas no Carte manga a few hours ago

Obviously it's nowhere near PH cuz it's not finished yet but so far I've nothing to complain about it & it's a better start to a great manga with stunning art. Vanitas is already in my top 4 Mochizuki characters. 8/10

I love digital VGA art. There's just something cozy and comfortable and aesthetically pleasing about the shapes, the outlines, and the gradients that makes me feel like a kid again. I mean a lot of that is obviously nostalgia, but still. There's something about it.

It wasn’t following a “modern and uncreative model,” the poster style was an homage to Drew Struzan’s designs. Obviously starpower was important for a lot of these films/shows, but so what? The posters are still dynamic and balanced and artistic, WHILE showing off the actors.
