Finally we can add in our base colors, adjust any shading colors that need it (for example warm shading over the green bits didn’t look good, changed that to better match), edit lineart colors, and flatten!

I’ve switched the shading color over to one that better compliments the character.
And now, because I am nothing if not predictable, we’re going to go through and add blue into the deeper places c; Someday I’ll learn to use another color, but today isn’t that day :)))

Then, the rest of your hard shading. This is where that scribbling comes into play. Imagine your head is the sun - what part of the subject can you (the sun) see from your position? Everything your light source CANNOT see will be shaded.

As usual, we’re gonna start by very roughly blocking out our shading so we can visualize it without worrying about it being pretty. You’ll trash this layer later, so it’s okay if it’s ugly. Even though I don’t usually do light, adding it here helps me keep forms in mind.
