Alien suits, imo don’t fit Superman’s character. Yes he’s an alien, but he’s also a homegrown hero from the countryside. With those values, so him wearing a homemade suit fits his with that. Alien suits are too edgy for him as a permanent look.

30 years ago today, in 1992, they Killed Superman - or, more accurately, Doomsday & Superman killed each other. I remember how each issue lessened the amount of panels on each page by 1 until, finally, in Superman each page was a giant action splash page!
