Flawed but valuable exercise, could have benefited from another day to clean up the brushwork and effects.

Decided to start learning Blender and made a little maquette of one of the Alchemy sketches and did a paintover. Haven't been using much as far as 3D programs but the lighting stuff in Blender seems super easy which has me excited.

I did a quick paintover. I feel that illustrates what I mean better. I don't think it needs to be mirrored but I think you can emphasize the strong silhouette and still keep it asymmetrical. Hope it helps :)

Then paintover finish. I try to make everything look neat here, it´s all about the eyedropper/brush combo. This step takes the longest to complete, but is also the most relaxing.

After that I add details, and usually color the lineart slightly.
