In 1873, Monet spent a summer in Argenteuil, Paris. Renoir visited 2 spend time 2gether & paint outdoors. The 2 men connected over a mutual dislike of traditional style of the Académie. Renoir painted Monet painting in his garden, creating a painting within a painting.
