Class demo - HD'ing the Mech from FFVI. I showed students how to find forms using side profile sketches, which are easier to draw, then "skewing" that side view in PS and extruding it into 3D, thus preserving the proportions. It's a fast process; useful in early phases of design.

Personally I gotta go with forearms bigger than the rest of the arms, always a hit for me. Doesn't matter what happens with the hands all that matters is the forearms are bigger than the other portion of the arms and shoulders. Bonus if those forearms are different from the rest.
