instead of going for a darker shade, how about moving the colour circle more towards red? i do this with my artworks. it gives off a softer look to the shade.

I think not many are aware of him, but they should.

He's the legend responsible for the character designs for Sengoku Basara, Shinobi 2002, Night shade, Vanquish, and the first Devil may cry.
