John Atkinson Grimshaw (1836-1893), British painter of the Victorian era, known above all for his night scenes and landscapes.
"A Moonlit Lane" (1874). The suburban lane with its high walls, trees and a partly hidden mansion highlight the loneliness of both: woman and child.

Trying a blackbird today, totally out my comfort zone, I’ve been footering with that beak and eye for ages and still can’t get it right. Might stick to seascapes. 😂 Anyway, happy everyone. 😘❤️

The Fourier transform is named after Joseph Fourier. Fourier lived at the time of Napoleon. In fact, he worked for Napoleon. And it turns out that he was actually obsessed with heat. He was very interested in knowing how heat propagated through materials of different shapes.

In the 18th-c the Grand Tour & archeological discoveries in Italy fueled the reemergence of capricci (capriccio), a genre painting featuring fantastical architectural cityscapes. This work by Jean Mariège, active in Lyon from 1721-1728, attests to the popularity of the genre.

One thing im trying to do with my girls is to make cute designs with flaws. I dont really like drawing girls with "perfect" bodies, so I'm giving them little quirks. Yishu's got a bit of a forehead; Ember's missing an arm & a little chub. Also different body shapes. 😏🍐

Crazy eye mutants look 100x better than crazy eye apes. They also have up to 100x more eyes. Okay, that’s an exaggeration. 👀👀👀👀👀
