A good werewolf design is tricky nowadays. Especially if you're going the horror route it can't JUST be a big hairy monster, they want it to look mangy and disease ridden, and why they push the human aspect a lot. Personally, Bloodborne hit that sweet spot with it's variety.

There's so many hairless, ghoul-like, gollum style werewolves

I miss when we embraced the wolf aspect instead
Might not be as "scary" for most people I guess

The aliens (the most important aspect of this) need to have organic looks. They can have elements from the show but they cant be cartoony like in other movies. They can be even scary and wierd at some points. Just dont make them CGI humanoids.
