@BlackettMedia Hello, and thank you! I'm Jordan, a starting illustrator working on my environment design but trying to round out my fundamentals while I take steps into the professional world. It's a long and difficult process, so thank you for the help @BlackettMedia!
I need to work on drawing techniques and some fundamentals, but until then here is another Mii Gunner piece.
Went all Lucina tonight at Level 01. Didn’t do up to my normal standards, but I learned/improved a ton. Entered the knockout bracket and won money back, so I had a good time for pretty cheap. I’ll continue to practice my fundamentals! For now, results don’t matter: only progress!
Hard to really put into words how much Richard Williams gave to animation.
Roger Rabbit was a childhood favourite that became a technical marvel as I grew up, and I don’t think there’s an animator alive who didn’t read the fundamentals in the Animator’s Survival Kit...

I recently finished Stephen Silver's Fundamentals of Character Design course on Schoolism. Here is one of the characters I designed from the class. This is Dr. Jekyll in a 70's themed, Gravity Falls style show.

Chaos Mania reimagining. A tough character to bring to classic design fundamentals. A lot of liberties were taken. I aimed to make him formless and heavily reliant on Eggman to pose a real threat. Not so when he starts getting bigger. Stick around to see his other forms~
And for my next trick, here's a Mania Shadow interpretation. Liberties were taken for his rocket shoes to bring him more in line with the classic design fundamentals and to fit in more with the Mania crowd imo. Hope you like em!
Next is Silver.
I feel like of everything my fundamentals need the most work, so I'm excited to keep following #liveartstudynight 8) this here... is a furry ball
@beccahallstedt I remember when I decided to face the tough grind of studying and getting my fundamentals in shape, only to realize it's never-ending. Still, I'm very proud of how far I've honed my skills and looking forward to getting better every single day!
Mihir, guardian of the earth protecting humanity. Character is not mine as this is freebie art I tried my hand practicing fundamentals.
A Mania/Hesse reimagining of Blaze the Cat. Very difficult to make this character work with the classic design fundamentals, but I think I like how she turned out.
The tablet I'm working on atm doesn't handle sensitivity very well so everything is janky. Best I can do for now...
Today we are featuring an assignment by @olyadbg who had to paint and render (mainly the fur) for Sam Nielson's "Fundamentals of Lighting" course on Schoolism.

@JennRavenna Ohhh, what an awesome giveaway, thank you Jenn! Hey, I'm Kira, I've been studying art fundamentals for the past year using resources like these (J. Gurney's blog's bookmarked on my browser bar, haha!) Here's something that reflects my progress!
