Here's another! Tōhaku-kun is a mascot for the Tokyo National Museum. He is a type of haniwa, or funerary clay figures that were arranged on large mounded tombs of the protohistoric Kofun period (3rd-6th/7th cent). His type is known as dancing haniwa~

Concerning fashion we have only a few poor man's clothes and much more rich wardrobes came to us. Luckely this extremely rare Dutch farmer's (!) cap survived harsh Dutch winters, c. 1650-1700, coll.

Lol. This belongs in a museum. What would you name this painting??

These angels have a great haircut! Only Rubens would paint them like this.

The Holy Women at the Sepulchre (1611-1614) is on display in the Museum.

On the last day of my big break before going back to work/getting back into dev, I went to a exhibition at the ACT museum.

It was incredible and I used a Cintiq for the first time too, which was so cool!

Go check it out!

Earliest and only individual portrait of a black African, c.1525-30, coll. On his bonnet there is a gold or silver-gilt pilgrim’s badge of Our Lady of Hall in Belgium, which can also a interpreted as a sign of his Christianity and trustworthiness.

There's never a bad time to look at Hogarth's Election series, but right now is a particularly good time. The chap tottering in the chair is the corrupt Tory who has blustered and lied his way to victory. On show in the superb Hogarth exhibition at the Soane Museum.

I drew this portrait of Miyazaki 3 years ago. I didn't know then that I'd be waking up to this amazing view (mount Fuji is on the right) about to head to the Studio Ghibli Museum. Is there anything more than this? Lucky girl! 😍 😍🇯🇵
