Straight up one of the best action comics. A masterclass in sequential art page layouts and pacing.
Finished reading 9S volume 1.
It was a very fun action novel. The SF aspects were a bit half-assed but I appreciated the brisk pacing and how much it left to the imagination.
Although my attention did drift a bit at the end since I didn't care that much about the characters.

The presentation was very forward-thinking, inventive, and expensive.
Easily the best part of this work.
Although I do feel the pacing was too fast for my taste, the charm more than made up for it.

Just in three shots so much happens. Shinji looks at Gendo and then it cuts to Gendo. As soon as it cuts to the entry plug Shinji, Asuka and Rei are already in their plugsuits and already inside their entry plugs. Quick pacing, to the point.

9/10 Has a more serious tone, and mature vibe compared to other BL manga. Tension and smut was amazing. Dubcon was done quite well in my opinion. Only major issue is pacing; felt very rushed towards the end.
Infinite Darkness could have probably used a few more episodes to help fill out some gaps, maybe even give Claire way more screentime. It’s basically just a movie split up into a “show” which is fine but the pacing just felt very off for me.

@MakinaKid oh I agree, it's still just as much of a monster as it was in xrd, but it's no longer the funny win-neutral spacing button like it used to be. doesn't really do faust any favors that many of his best buttons are like this now
