More rendering on this! Getting close to the steps where we get to bring it all together and maybe do some coloring. I might have made things so much easier for myself if I had taken the time to separate some sections into layers... oh well, lesson learned among many others.

These are really nice!! I think the 2 main pointers I would give if you're looking to do card artwork is that;

1. Some parts of your pieces are getting a little muddy because there's so much going on in a small area with similar value ranges. The two sections I've linked here

In the same way that the majority of Peter’s hair is black with a few thin streaks of brown to indicate shading or a glossy texture, I always saw the “blue and black” sections as being the same. I’m glad that more modern comics have finally figured out how to do it correctly.

By the way, here's the side-by-side comparison. I think the traditional drawing looks better overall, but the hair looks better digitally due to the way I refined the way I drew the sections.
