I tried using the same technique as I did back then, but polished it, also with the way I laid the shading. I still wanted to give it the "shiny" look to keep it true to the original art style I had in that era. 😂

There’s like two main types of shading, shade gradient and cell shading. Cell shading is what I do and that’s typically a harder shade/highlight common in comics and cartoons. Shade gradient is harder imo and mimics real life shading. I can help better with Cell

Btw guys, if you're trying to mimic the twewy style, they use a greyish purple color in 'multiply' layer to do the shading. The value here isn't exact, but close for the in-game sprites. They use a darker shade for stuff like official art usually, but still the same method.
