Tried to make a more casual take on my Corona-chan version. She feels right at home with crowds and travellers.

Remember to self quarantine, this isn't the time to be going abroad selfishly, think of your loved ones that you may expose to harm and disease

Underwater travellers on a journey above land. Big guy is a merchant, species has mostly adapted to staying temporarily on land. Small guy is in a trouble, his water/chem tube is leaking 😟 Species has done a lot of dodgy tests to be on land.

First time I’ve worn my mask but it wasn’t uncommon in Dubai airport and just so many travellers passing through. Extra hand washing really essential but I hate this for the keyboard - all too slippy now.

In Finnish folklore, a hiisi is a forest spirit who is a danger to travellers.

He is said to own a hundred-horned elk.

Hiisi are so well known, they are used instead of goblins in the Finnish translations of Tolkien’s stories!

Hermes was the Greek God of Transitions, Travel, Trade & Boundaries. Able to move freely between the worlds of the mortal & the divine, & playing the role of the psychopomp or "soul guide,” he is the god for travellers of all realms.

I'm looking forward to today's theme of voyages, travelling and travellers. Here is a lovely print by Katsushika Hokusai titled 'Traveller in the Snow' to set the mood.

The near Slingsby ate so many travellers that the locals had to divert the road away from it. Eventually a knight slayed the dragon with the help of his dog. The knight was mortally wounded. There's no record of what happened to the dog.

Before Tripadvisor, travellers would learn of travel hints and tips through published guides. Our library has a large collection of 19th century memoirs. From Bristed's Tour in the Highlands,1803, are these two stylish travel companions

Amongst his most famous works is his Interior of the Irish House of Commons (Ireland had its own Parliament with only Protestant aristocrats represented), 1780. Travellers Resting on a Country Road (c1784) & Pastoral Scene (nd)

"Winter, a lingering season, is a time to gather golden moments, embark upon a sentimental journey, and enjoy every idle hour."

🌙 Hello fellow travellers, be sure not to offend the local monarch when you visit their castles, dungeons are not a great deal on Airbnb 🌙
⭐ This background was in my folders for a while, what do you think about it? 💮

"The travellers reached a low ridge crowned with ancient holly-trees whose grey-green trunks seemed to have been built out of the very stone of the hills. Their dark leaves shown and their berries glowed red in the light of the rising sun."

Beware the Silver Knight of Kirkby Fell. The apparition clad in armour that has been known to take a swipe at passing travellers with his broadsword.
