Turns out warm-up doodles are a lot easier to draw when your subjects are half-clothed. New art over on @Gnaughtii! Largely stupid crude toony humor but I started a cute pinup.
Now, almost from the background bits that I’ve erased, you can almost already see a curve in the blobs.
To make things extra clear I swapped it over to grayscale.
Some are easier to spot than others.
One thing I find most useful is to find the most exaggerated poses you can. For me I rewatched cybersix (hence why I was thinking about it yesterday) and screencapped a bunch. It’s easier to learn line of action with exaggerated poses.

I realized somewhere along the line that even on tour, it wouldn't make logical sense for the Play Dead characters to wear the same clothes ALL the time, so a few alternate outfits are in order.
(Thank god these sprites are so much easier to edit than the DCR ones.)
I just realized Philza's character design is from a character form bleach and it would have been so much easier to look for references--

@BoardCoppola The point is appealing character design. The question of why would they use simplicity in their design. It's not just because its easier to animate (which it is, allowing more movement) it also expresses character effectively and in an appealing way.
