Back in 2011, on the portfolio of Laurie Franks, former (I guess) employee at TFB, 2 concepts and a model were found.
The first pic is called "If_spyromerlin_meet.jpg".
We can think therefore that the idea behind was of an elderly Spyro telling his stories to a young Merlin (1/?)

2011年アニメを振り返ってみたけど、よく考えてみたらどの作品も10周年になるのに記念イベントとかをやるのがまどマギとあの花のアニプレックス製作アニメだけなのね😅
