When dealing with tail stuff in particular, there's a unique dynamic to it because the thing doing the coiling is behind the dominant party, so to set it properly in the space, they might have to take different stances/poses to properly convey a hold/idea.

Here’s rook, a fighter character idea. He’d have fast movement, but sluggish long reach attacks. He can extend his arms and move the joints up and down, so he could move the elbow down and swing with more momentum for a harder hit. Get decked from like 15 feet away
