Here's a Bigger Plot Twist. Majora's Mask Gibdos are actually Redead in Wrapping (burn the Wrapping and the Redead is revealed).

Doesn't matter, because a Redead is still an Undead Being. Basically, it's a Skeleton placed in a Clay Body. Inuyasha had a similar thing, after all.
