These two were very important pieces for me last year. I learned how to mimic watercolor and use my brushes more effectively, how to use opacity to my benefit, how to apply texture and overall how to incorporate line-art into the painting. This marked when my art felt more pro.

I mimicked the special backgrounds you get on Splatnet but with my oc, Sebastian! :D This was so difficult to do but I had a blast with it.

I drew a mimic today. It was supposed to be a 30 minute speedpainting, but since it's the first day of a new year I gave myself (a lot of) extra time, so I could really enjoy killing this puppy*.

(*No puppies were killed, the mimic is actually a vegetarian)

starting the new year showing off DR style sprites I made of my SHSL Dentist OC. I'm very happy with the most recent edition. My goal for 2019 is to get better at mimicking the style because it's a lot of fun!

Here's three more noodle stickers I finished last night, but couldn't upload because the internet broke. I tried to mimic an existing sticker for the last one, but it didn't translate as well as I'd hoped (or rather, I couldn't find a way to make it) but, here it is anyways l3

fun fact: did you know that this shading took longer to do than it took for me to be born?

anyways, I tried to mimick chariko's coloring style, to get back into soft shading. I'll def try doing more soft shaded works, but of course make my own adjustments to coloring process >v<

I somehow managed to completely overlook your question, sorry about that. Ito has made very noticeable efforts to mimic Ichikawa's style, however, while Kitazaki's stuff can look a bit weird at times, his proficiency at conveying the ferocity of characters makes him my favorite.
