First pass in shading/highlights. Trying out some new stuff

i tried to shade with airbrush tool in it turns out quicker and easier than doing it manually. Instead of registering shades for every color, i would just create a clipping layer->linear burn (for shadow) or add (for highlights). keeps my color palette simple.

I think I started with the shapes I could easily identify. So I started with the halo headshape and tried to build down. The reference I was given looked like this (it's a super cool painting but with that pose and all those highlights, it was a bit confusing as a ref, hah)
