I've noticed a lot of folks consider Roger Stern's 80's Avengers run to be a favorite.

It's interesting that Stern returned to the group (along with familiar teammates Monica & Eros) in this 4-issue miniseries, which is also a sorta spinoff from Avengers Forever.
