idk if I'm the only one who saw it but I think the darker coloring they did for CS/PMTOK sprite was purposely done in a way to make it work out with the dynamic lighting(?) it has. Like, the TTYD palette you posted is pretty much this Mario palette but under the ray of sunlight.

I finally finished my Breakfast Club Loud House drawing. I can never get the colors exactly like the show but that’s the risk with markers.

Thanks! Hair is my favorite part of a drawing and it shows, heh.
As for how I do it, I usually have three shades for the hair, the base color and a light and darker shade. I go back and forth between the three colors until I get the look I want. Overlay also adds some pop.
