Parenting my 10-year-old has become staggeringly difficult lately. I’m sort of hyperfocusing on her art, because it feels like a lifeline for both of us. She has a wonderful mind, if we can just get through this.
It’s cool how each YuGiOh archetype has some sort of unique gimmick to them:
Lightsworns mill cards to the graveyard
Elemental Heroes have unique variations of fusions
Zoodiacs overlay on top of each other
Gustos miss timing
And now the finished result of that one OC I sketched earlier-
I ended up turning Foto into a sort of humanoid made out of electrons, rather than light or crystal like I intended to.

@ddickeyart Maybe this old painting. It's really old, and from the first time I saw my parents getting hungry on each other. They growled to make me leave and that's all they explained, so this is sort of how I remembered it in dreams for the longest time.

It's been 2 years since my grandpa passed. He was a huge influence on my interests in science, music and the arts. He was an inventor and an accomplished oil painter himself.
I made this portrait of him sort of in the style of Alvaro Hidalgo.
