You know what I just thought of something
pointed out some time ago that the Time Eater resembles the Nega Wisps. Eggman found the Time Eater after being lost in space in Sonic Colors. What if Eggman’s interference with the wisps awakened it somehow?

Obviously the 2023 is cool but it isn’t as iconic and instantly recognizable and EPIC as the original colors. Andy is SUCH an artist and he knows what he’s doing.
