a. it's expensive to produce more than one (definitely)
b. people want one single, directed experience (hmmm, maybe..not?)

thankfully cartoony styles are much more forgiving with "accurate" anatomy, but the point still stands even with more "realistic" styles. mistakes i used to make usually come from overfocusing too early.
