Thinking younger, Peanuts and Calvin &Hobbes gave me a lot, too. Peanuts (esp the early 50s stuff) probably influenced my character design sensibilities and Watterson influence remains in the way I handle foliage and rocks.

To help it get through the foliage in its environment, Nargacuga evolved blade-like wings that can cut through plants easily. Although they're mainly used as a tool, Nargacuga will use them to attack enemies and prey alike as well.
