WIP draft render!
i was told being able to see all the outlines is interesting, so here you go, the reason behind 90% of my pc crash reports 😂
i completed the animation 1 day later than Satan's bd thru 2 sleepless nights in a row, but at what cost?

Then the outlines, probably the most unique part about it.
They are really huge, obviously. But they get thinner around the face and chest areas.
They often also form spikes sometimes.
Shadows and the outlines are always the same color, to be exact.

Decided to put outlines on the materials. I think this one looks better(?)

i love the flat colors + thick outlines of 2000s - early 10s flash cartoons, especially with the more bouncy animation style with tweens + higher frame rates

At first I thought it was from Tiger Mask, but the outlines in the show are black and don't use colored lines in the character's designs. I believe the best way to find an answer is to look through all the shows Toei made to see which one uses this type of design.

I love my dots, dashes, and double outlines. They are so much fun!

I had some stuff to do but here's the sprites! There's some difference in outlines and shading between the two variants although it's hard to see.

Part of an art trade with

Kion on a GB inspired palette - 96x96 canvas

(also tried thicker/dynamic outlines, not too shabby)

All I can hear when looking at this is late 90s Stratovarius, my most listened to band during that part of my life

I find that digital medium suits my style WAY better, and havent looked back since

even back then I loved thin outlines, harsh shadows and glow effects

If you know what the outlines are for, you know!!!

In my mind, I think "make the outlines just the right amount of thickness" and work with that. I haven't really experimented with my style yet, so I'm just making mods based on preexisting media and try to add my own touch with the media's art style.

Guided by 's remark on antialiasing and repaletting the outlines, here's a quantized, smoother version :D

that's made to look like :D

Anyways been watching devilman crybaby and it gave me influence to draw shikoba again! Didn’t add his cape this time since I wanted to show the outlines of his bod yknow?

Day 9:

This one took way longer than I thought it would. Drawing without outlines is really time consuming. It was worth it though, think it turned out really cute! 🥰

Which one's better, with or without outlines?
