These plates were handpainted by Ida Woodward in 1934. Evening classes for amateurs to paint pottery were held between c.1920 - 1950s. The pottery was made at Clokie & Co. Ltd. After painting it was returned to the pottery for its gloss firing #Stars #MuseumsTogether30
Any interest in seeing some of the early, in-process test renders for any scenebuilds I've done? Not sure how to describe the process other than like pottery: start with a raw lump 'previs,' a basic shape, add on, refine, glaze, fire. Feel it out.
