Then paintover finish. I try to make everything look neat here, it´s all about the eyedropper/brush combo. This step takes the longest to complete, but is also the most relaxing.

After that I add details, and usually color the lineart slightly.

In general, here´s my process:

sketch, lineart, flat colors, sketch shading, paintover finish, and final details. I´ll try to find a file that show this better.

95% done now. Lots of paintover in to fix the hair, which I'm still not satisfied with. Here's a comparison with the raw render. Anything else I should improve before I finalize and move on?

Quick paintover of a painting I did in the beginning of 2018 with original for comparison. I took away the jarring effect of the background, strengthened the values and kept the lighting consistent, along with some likeness correction. And yes, it was supposed to be Sunmi.

i like to use rounded brushes but they usually leave my lineart with blunt ends. this is how i sharpen them by simple paintovers, then resharpening details with a smaller finer brush!
