In a surprise twist, here's a fully finished drawing of my character in Vampire: The Masquerade! She looks very different from my sketches with that hair colour. I've been steering her towards more of a goth look so that's acceptable, I feel!

Baroque times ask for Baroque art. Jacob Jordaens painted st Carlo Borromeo pleading for the aid of Mary and Christ. People are dying of the plague in the foreground. Just look at how Jordaens used light and gesture to steer the eye of the viewer.
